Rosen Method is a profound, gentle, respectful form of hands-on bodywork, that supports our inherent impulse towards health and creative engagement.
Rosen Method was developed by Marion Rosen, and works with the body's story directly. Our bodies hold all our memories and experiences, as well as holding in or down our unexpressed and unacknowledged feelings. This requires effort and energy that could be used for authentic self expression, rather than censorship or repression . Unconscious muscular tension which arises over time in a response to stressful, difficult, painful or overwhelming experiences - becomes habitual, and effects a persons bodily form and their ability to function most efficiently.
The body cannot lie. Through a unique form of 'listening' touch, combined with the presence and verbal skills of the Rosen practitioner - clients relax deeply , allowing their bodies wisdom to come through. They hear, feel and experience more of themselves, more of their potential. With deep relaxation, muscles can release the feelings and memories they've been guarding or containing unconsciously , to surface and release in a safe and gentle way. Profound shifts occur , and an expansive way of experiencing the world , our relationship to each other and ourselves, can be greatly enhanced, through conscious touch, presence and awareness.

This method can be used in conjunction with many other modalities. People take courses for their own self development , to enhance their existing skills, or to train to Internship and Certification. If you are interested in discovering more about Rosen Method we invite you to attend a week-end workshop to find out if it is something for you. It is then possible to attend Intensive weeks and build upon your experience.
Rosen workshops or intensives are for people who are interested in exploring the impact of touch in our lives, and in removing unconscious barriers to enjoying our full capacity for emotional range, self expression and physical potential. You can come to an intensive for your own interest and self development, for fun or to support and enhance existing skills such as physiotherapy and massage or to train to become a Rosen Method practitioner yourself. We believe Rosen Method offers something unique whether it be by bodywork or movement - and we want to share it.
